#30while30 – Coors Tour

I have so many reasons to visit Golden, CO:

  • My in-laws
  • Hiking
  • My favorite pizza place: Woody’s Woodfired Pizza

On Memorial Day Weekend, we headed to Where The West Lives and did all of the above, and added one more:

#30while30 – Coors Tour

As a 10-year resident of Colorado and a connoisseur of Coors Beer, it was borderline shameful that I hadn’t taken the FREE tour of the brewery.

There is a lot of history and information I didn’t cover in my video. I encourage residents and tourists alike to take the tour – at least the short one for the three free samples.

#30while30 – Get Waxed

Pain Level: 6 of 10

Like most things in life, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. When will I finally remember that life lesson? Not by my 30th birthday, apparently.

#30while30 – Get Waxed

3 Steps to a Successful Waxing Experience:

  1. Drink one glass of wine. Only one glass. Drinking any more could impair your ability to drive safely.
  2. Take two Tylenol 30-minutes before your appointment.
  3. Bring a buddy for support!

Here is a bonus Sangria recipe for post-wax celebrations!

NASTY WOMAN SANGRIA

  • One box (yes, box) white wine
  • One 750ml bottle silver tequila
  • One liter sparkling water (lemon/lime or plain, whatever)
  • Variety of sliced citrus fruit

COMBINE and ENJOY CHILLED

It’s also delicious combined in a blender with ice and fruit.

sangria will stay fresh in the fridge, covered, for at least two weeks

#30while30 – Travel to a new domestic location

Celebrating my Dirty-Thirty in The Big Easy was as rowdy as it sounds. Throw in Saint Patrick’s Day and we’re talking next-level shenanigans. Dirty-Thirty? More like Blurry-Thirty! So blurry, in fact, that I didn’t create a video when I was down there.

So, here’s a slideshow set to a funky Galactic track that features Trombone Shorty and Corey Henry.

#30while30 – New Orleans, LA

We explored New Orleans in my favorite way – eating and drinking! The gluttony was complimented with a Haunted Tour of The French Quarter and the Mardi Gras Indians Super Sunday parade for a dash of culture.

I was joined in NOLA by my husband and three of my great friends – Amber, Liz & Tony. I will certainly be returning to New Orleans to make some more memories, some of which I’ll hopefully be able to remember!

#30while30 Intro

Like any Pisces worth her sea-salt, I am a big dreamer! Check out my Intro Video:

#30while30 Intro Video

It was harder than I expected to list 30 new things I want to do when I am 30. I have been very blessed my first three decades with awesome adventures and wonderful travel experiences. I want to first acknowledge that I am quite privileged to have the opportunity, time, freedom, and resources to pursue this goal. That being said, not all of my goals are indulgent and cost ca$h-money. Some are cheap. Some are free. Some serve others.

I was inspired by my Proverbs 31 Daily Devotional this morning by author Lysa Terkeurst:

“We can look out and see the unlimited, abundant opportunities God has placed before us. To create. To write. To serve. To sing. To be and become. …[T]here is an abundant need in this world for your contributions to the Kingdom … your thoughts and words and artistic expressions … your exact brand of beautiful.”

I hope my vlog inspires you to dream, to use your talents, and seize the opportunities before you to contribute your exact brand of beautiful to the world.
